World Theatre Day 2025 Celebration with ABHIVYAKTEE Panaji

Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts, in association with Abhivyaktee – Panaji invites you to celebrate World Theatre Day 2025 with a theatre performance Agyaat-Katha (अज्ञातकथा) to be staged over two days, 29 & 30 March 2025 at 7pm on both days.

The performance explores an unknown episode (Agyaat-Katha) from the Lok-Mahabharat, and delves into the delicate balance between masculine and feminine energies. These energies are not inherently tied to any specific gender, and the play emphasizes this very message, inviting audiences to reflect on how these traits manifest uniquely in each individual.

Structured and designed in the traditional Goan Katha Gaayan (story recitation) format, the presentation incorporates elements of Indian theatre and dance to stage an unexplored episode from the timeless classic.
