The Right to Cultural Heritage by Professor Walter Rossa

Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts in partnership with Camões – Portuguese Institute of Culture invite you to a lecture, The Right to Cultural Heritage, by Professor Walter Rossa, Architect & Urbanist, University of Coimbra, this evening Wednesday, 19 March 2025 at 6.30pm.
 
Prof. Rossa has dedicated his research to the theory and history of architecture and urbanism of Indian cities that were part of the former Portuguese empire. The lecture will address concepts on the heritage of the built landscape of Iberian influence. We will also journey through the breakup of Empire, the emergence of a Goan identity and the importance of community in preserving this heritage. 
 
The programme is in collaboration with J.H. Cunha Rivara Chair in Indo-Portuguese Comparative Studies, Directorate of Visiting Research Professor, and Goa University.
