Book Release: City of Victory by John M Fritz and George Michell

Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts, in association with Pictor Publishing and the Deccan Heritage Foundation, are pleased to announce the release of CITY OF VICTORY, a stunning visual presentation of one of Asia’s most magnificent historical places. The book brings to life the grandeur of the Vijayanagara empire through a sweeping narrative.

Written by John M Fritz and George Michell, and featuring brilliant black-and-white photographs by award-winning photographer John Gollings, the book has already garnered critical acclaim for its rich storytelling, historical detail, and cultural resonance.

Join us on Saturday, 10 January 2026 at 6:00 pm for an illustrated talk by George Michell. Copies of the book will be available for sale, with a signing by the author.
