Film for Thought - Screening of film 'Rififi' on 14th November '12 at 6.30 pm

This Wednesday, 14^th November ‘12 at 6.30 pm, Sachin Chatte will host the screening of "Rififi" at Sunaparanta - Goa Centre for the Arts.

An absolute must watch for film noir buffs, Rififi is considered as the grand daddy of all 'heist' films. So much so, that the burglary shown in the film has been replicated by several criminals around the world and the Paris police had even banned the film briefly fearing it would 'inspire' them. The piece de resistance of the film is a 30 minute burglary sequence which has no dialogues or music. Based on a novel by Auguste Le Breton, the movie has gone on to inspire several directors around the globe.
