Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts invites you to its fifth Read Along book club session with author Moni Mohsin in conversation with Gayatri Rangachari Shah. This is Episode XXVII of ListenIN.
 
Mohsin's new novel The Impeccable Integrity of Ruby R. cleverly satirises the use of social media as political propaganda. Ruby Rauf, an idealistic, industrious scholarship student, finds herself struggling with making the difficult choices that her job demands as a social media manager for a charismatic politician, where the world of politics and social media prove to be a moral minefield.
 
With quicksilver dialogue, shrewd political insight and a thoughtful take on the MeToo debate, this sparkling novel reveals Moni Mohsin on top satirical form. Bringing themes of abuse (both online and offline), predatory behaviour, murky politics and corruption together, the novel is a brisk and compelling read.

In conversation with Gayatri Rangachari Shah, the author will talk about writing political satire, using humour as a narrative too, her inspiration behind her new novel and her craft as a writer.
