Jean-Marc Troubet studied at the Toulouse Fine Arts School and the Angoulême Fine Arts School. An avid traveller based in the Dordogne, he often draws inspiration from his own life for his albums. He has produced nearly 30 albums, either alone or in collaboration with other artists such as Edmond Baudouin. From his travels in China, Australia, Madagascar, Colombia, Mexico, Burundi, Laos, West Africa... came out several comic books published with various publishing houses such as Futuropolis, L'Association and Rackham. He is one of the associate authors of the Ouïe-Dire company, which develops artistic activities in priority neighbourhoods.
This residency was part of Sunaparanta's Artist-in-Residence Lab (AIR-L), and also as part of the Institut Français en Inde & Villa Swagatha
