Ipshita is an independent filmmaker with a nature-inspired, intuitive cinematic voice rooted in lived experiences. In 2017, she founded Reel Nomads, a filmmaking collective telling compassionate, purpose- driven stories. Her work explores climate change, culture and conservation, often in grassroot India. Collaborating with global broadcasters and social organisations, she creates films that capture deep community bonds and inspire change, one powerful story at a time. In the recent past her short docs have found a global audience premiering in world conferences and film festivals both internationally and within the country. She is currently working on her first independent feature doc “The Mangrove Mother” from the Sundarbans in West Bengal, India.
